The Hairst issue of the society magazine Coontin Kin is now available, it’s now full colour throughout as we continue to develop and improve the publication. Issue no.112 has a wide range of interesting new material.

Hard Down! by Captain Jack Isbester
In conjunction with Shetland Library the Society are delighted to announce the launch of wonderful new book, Hard Down written by Captain Jack Isbester.
It covers the fascinating lie of Captain John Isbester from Whiteness. An incident filled lied aboard square-rigged sailing ships during the early twentieth century.
