Shetland Amenity Trust Offices, Garthspool, Lerwick by Magnus Shearer [member 297]
The current location of the offices of the Shetland Family History Society at Garthspool, Lerwick have stood since around the mid 1880’s. The buildings have a rich maritime history and Magnus Shearer, who’s family were the last to run a business from the premises, gives a potted history of the buildings.
