Before we even host the next Surname of the Month (see post here) we are busy planning the next one!
The Pearson event, part of a larger programme, will be held in the Vidlin Hall on Thursday, 28th July from 2:00 - 4:30 pm. The Shetland Family History Society will be joined by 42 family members visiting from the USA and Canada, descendants of James Pearson of Sweening (1860-1952) and his wife, Agnes Johnson of Kurkigarth, Voe.
There is an open invitation for anyone who is a descendant or interested in either of these families to join in the events.
