Pedigree Chart

The Shetland Family History Society began in 1991 and has been collecting pedigree charts from our members since then. They are the building blocks that make up our database and an important tool in how we help members with their own research.
We invite any new or current member to submit their family tree and connect the wider Shetland family together.

If you would like to fill out the pedigree chart by hand, here is a PDF version that you can print out and submit to us in-person or by post.

How to submit

  1. In the chart area below, enter your own details by clicking on the EDIT button in the bottom-right corner of the box.
  2. A Person details form will appear.
  3. Complete each of the applicable fields and press submit. This will add your details to the chart.
  4. To add any ancestors, click the ADD button. You can add up to 2 parents to each box.
  5. To remove any ancestors, click the REMOVE button.
  6. Edit each ancestor by clicking on the EDIT button in the top-left of the box.
  7. Repeat adding ancestors until you've added all ancestors.
  8. Once you have completed the chart, click the SUBMIT YOUR FAMILY TREE button.
  9. Enter your email address, and then click OK to complete the submission.
